WHEN CAN I VOTE FOR EMILY?

Primary Day: March 5th, 2024

General Election Day: November 5th, 2024

The General Election for District Court Judge will be held on November 5th, 2024, but before that, Emily is running in the primary to be the Democratic Party's nominee for the office. To make sure that she appears in the general election, it's important that we all get out and vote on March 5th.

WHERE DO I GO TO VOTE FOR EMILY?

Find your election day or early voting site, or vote by mail!

In North Carolina, there are three main ways of voting, and each of them will affect where you go to vote for Emily.

  • If you vote in-person on election day, you'll need to appear at your normal, assigned polling place.
  • If you vote absentee one-stop, otherwise called "early voting", you can vote at any of Buncombe County's early voting locations.
  • If you vote absentee by-mail, you can even vote from the comfort of your own home.

HOW DO I MAKE SURE I'M ELIGIBLE TO VOTE?

Check that your registration is up-to-date and you have your voter ID!

Voting for District Court Judge is open to all residents of Buncombe County, but in order to vote, you'll need to be registered at your current address.

Following the ruling of the NC Supreme Court, you'll also need to have a photo ID in order to vote. While your driver's license will be the best option for most voters, there are a variety of IDs being accepted by the Board of Elections:
